I have been busy in my sewing room, sorting, organising and discarding. I finally feel that I can now get in there and actually do some sewing....and that's just what I did. I whipped up the little Mollie Makes kit from my latest issue. It felt great to sew something, it seems to have been such a long time since I have actually seen the surface of my desk. I now plan to work my way through some little projects I have bought as kits at Craft shows. I am also hoping for inspiration to strike as I need to get designing some new magazine projects. A good declutter always does wonders for the creative process.
I have been working my way through all the pesky ends as I slowly join the squares on my Starburst Flower blanket. I have been passing the time watching the AFL Grand Final and the last 3 episodes on my Country Practice DVD. I have crocheted and cried my way through the untimely death of Molly, poor Brendan's sadness and the birth of Vicky's twins in a barn. It is good to have something to keep your mind occupied whilst doing the less than fun part of a project! 4 rows down, 5 to go!
Go YOU !!!! I love your craft room, can you come and organize mine, your starburst blanket is beautiful, and how envious am I you have the Country Practice DVD'S jealous me :o)
ReplyDeleteyour blanket is awesome...hope that crafty inspiration strikes soon...and wow what memories! A Country Practice....awwww
ReplyDeleteLove love loving that crochet!
ReplyDeleteI remember as a child going to the neighbours house armed with tissues to watch the episode that Molly dies. It was so traumatic. That final scene where it just all goes dark. I can feel a lump forming in my throat just thinking about it.
Gorgeous little bird pouch. I love your airy organised sewing room...my favourite part (and I'm quite jealous) is having space for the ironing board nearby!
