I was given the choice of how I wanted to spend my day, so I chose to go to IKEA. "Oh goodie" said Mr M and the Ballerina, "Oh no, I have to work" said the Teen. We went out to breakfast before dropping the Teen at work, spent a few hours at IKEA, including sampling the delights of the cafeteria and then had afternoon tea with Mr M's mum. Next a phone call to my Mum, who I will see next weekend then a simple dinner of French Onion soup and chilli bread. I then did some crocheting with some delicious new yarn. A great day indeed!
I hope all the Mums in blogland and beyond also had a lovely day to celebrate all that being a mother entails.

ReplyDeleteOye Miss M,
ReplyDeleteBy all appearances you had a very lovely Mother's day!!!! Tomorrow is Mother's day here in Mexico. It is always on the 10th of May. It is even a school holiday. Although I don't know how they figure it's much of a holiday for the mums when the kids are home from school???
