What's In A Name?The kind and crafty Treann made me this sweet cushion. Nothing ever (except once for a mug) has my name on it. People often get my name wrong, both spoken and written. I am not Lauren, Laura, Laurelle, Lorel. Am I right to get so upset about my name?

I hear ya there with the name. Most people automatically call me Mel and I have never once introduced myself as Mel and then I get called Melissa if its not Mel. What a lovely personal gift.

ReplyDeleteI'll never make that mistake I mean really!! ;) And heck no you have every right to correct...er assisting people to pronounce and spell your name!! My kids were blessed, (although the kids didn't think so for years)with Scandinavian names. Mette, Peder, Anders, We are forever assisting people in pronounceing and spelling their names. :)
