The Effects of Extreme Conditions

My heart goes out to everyone touched by the devastation of nature's fury. It has been shocking watching it all unfold on the news, the loss, the pain.

We lost two of our guinea pigs, the little boys finally succumbed to the heat. They died cuddled up together. It was hard to move them, their little bodies hard and heavy in death. Miss C was devastated, but managed to look at them and pat them. Our dilema - how do you bury them when the ground is as hard as a rock. R.I.P Spike and GingyEdit: photos taken when alive and kicking!

  7. I am so sorry for your loss. I used to raise guinea pigs and whenever one of them passed during the Winter i would wrap their little bodies in a cloth, put them in a zip lock bag and keep them in the freezer until the ground softened. Then i would bury them. So sorry...It's a hard thing for little ones to deal with...
