This is only part of a blanket belonging to a friend. Julia engaged the services of a crocheter to make the blanket for her, using a bag of wool provided. The said crocheter, however took it upon herself to use wool of her own, including lots of blue and yellow, and even some with glitter!
I intend to rescue Julia's blanket, turning something that has been hiding in her cupboard for 3 years into something lovely to be used and treasured. We are sharing the task of unpicking it and releasing the squares that do not work. Pictured is only a small section of the blanket, Julia actually has the lion share of the unpicking! We discovered that scissors work a treat!
These are the colours that were intended for the blanket. I am looking forward to seeing something closer to the original concept emerge over the coming months. Stay tuned!
I am looking forward to seeing what should have been the original concept too.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff!

How cheeky of the original crocheter adding her own yarn. Strange too when you really start to think about it.
