The adventures of Smartie Monkey

You may have met him before on this little blog. The lovely Treann made him for me in a Polka Dot Swap last year. He has become my kindergarten mascot. The children have each had a turn taking him home for a few days. They record their adventures together in a diary, including photos, text and drawings.

He has ridden a horse, had a camping trip, been on a motorbike, met penguins at the zoo, swung from lights, helped in the dairy, been read countless stories, met lots of pet dogs, been dressed up in a tutu and slept in a multitude of beds.

Poor Smartie monkey was looking a little worse for wear, in serious need of a bath, so I have brought him home for the long weekend for a much needed scrub! I get to have a play too and document what we get up to. As I write he is on the clothesline dripping wet, along with his little dotty shorts, but he is no longer grubby! Tuesday he's back to kinder, ready to go for his second round of visits. The smile never leaves his cheery face, despite all that he endures at the hands of eager 4 and 5 year olds!

How fun to have a real lover of poka dots to hang out with!!! Hmmmmm I don't think I have ever seen anyone look as good as SM in a total body suit of poka dots. No wonder he is so popular. I just bet I would be too if I had such a very cool outfit!!! ;)
