I am going to tell you a little tale about a lovely couple, entirely enjoying their retirement and making the most of the opportunities surrounding them in their new life in the Country. They decided to attend a quilt class, make a quilt together and then enter their effort into a local Quilt Show. This is my Mum and Dad ready to attend the Quilt Show Opening on Friday Night.
This is the quilt that they made together, their very first ever!AND This is the award that they won! Go Mum and Dad!
And this is their craft/work shed, which is a project now well underway.
Oh, and this is a blogger sans make-up with the ballerina (their proud grand daughter), happy to be able to share in their achievement!
This is Mum's side and this is Dad's side.
Glad that they are living their dreams!

Excellent!!! Life just doesn't get any better then that!!! I have a feeling that before you know it your parents will have nearly moved out to the studio. Ha with a small frig, microwave and pull out couch they wouldn't need to go back in!! :) It's kinda like our house. We pass through the living dining downstairs on the way to the stairs up to the sunroom aka our little corners.
ReplyDeleteHugs to all and a good week, wishes.

That's so cool! Your Dad is awesome for having a go and they're both awesome to still love each other enough to do things like this together! I just hope my hubby and I are like that when we get old and our chicks have flown the nest. Somehow I doubt it... he likes sport... I don't. Lol
