Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot (in Honduras)

Well what an amazing couple of days we have had. When we arrived at San Pedro Sula International Airport, what a greeting we had - doctors in lab coats and masks checking everyone out, and armed guards (with very big guns) everywhere. It was so hot and so daunting as nobody spoke a word of English. When we finally got through Immigration there was a man holding up a sign with our names on it and we were shuttled off to our hotel. After checking in we went straight to our room, which was a little more basic than we were expecting, but the amazing pool more than made up for it! I am about to run out of internet time, have so much to say and show you, but it will have to wait for another day!

  2. Miss M,

I wasn't to sure how much to tell you about the armed military, security, and police. Just remember that they are all armed with semi-automatics. They are a very very common sight. A lot of it is done as a warning and a deterrent to keep people from breaking the law. They are there for your protection. Try to just go about your day as if this is exactly the way it's at home. Your mantra for the week is "It is what it is!!" :)

Ha hot???? It's only May the really hot humid months haven't arrived yet :) Remember your water, and sunscreen, my little blond Aussie family!!!!

    Have fun Stay safe!!
