No Desserts Ever!

In this tale, a naughty little puppy finally learns that being late doesn't always have it's rewards - "So poky little puppy had to go to bed without a single bite of shortcake, and he felt very sorry for himself"
The Poky Little Puppy was first published in 1942, as one of the first 12 books in the Golden Books Series. It was written by Janette Sebring Lowrey and illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren. As of 2001 it was the single best selling hardcover children's book in English, having sold almost 15 million copies. Source: Wikipedia

Illustrator, Gustaf Tenggren, who immigrated to the U.S. from Sweden in 1920, created other famous Little Golden Book characters such as the Saggy Baggy Elephant and Tawny Scrawny Lion. Before coming to Golden Books, he worked for the Disney studio, providing concept artwork for various characters and scenes in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio. Source: Powells

  1. Hi,
Thanks for commenting on my blog.
Glad you liked the Jewellery Wrap. I noticed this book and it brought back memories. I had this book as a child and loved it, it was one of my favourites.
