Family Traditions
A new family tradition has been created, with the second year in a row of going to the MCG on Easter Monday to watch the hawks vs. the cats followed by dinner in Chapel St, at a lovely little restaurant.
I think family traditions are such an integral way to create special memories and highlight the significance of family as being perpetual. I also think that it is increasingly important to work at creating new traditions as your children get older, especially as they spend less time at home.
How wonderful it would be, if they like me have a rich array of memories and meaningful experiences to one day share with their own families.
I would love to hear about traditions that are important in your family.
A lovely tradition

Turtle Back Potatoes
When the Ballerina was little she thought Hasselback potatoes were actually called turtle backs.
It is a cute name that has stuck with us, years on. I decided to cook some for our Good Friday dinner with our close friends, a tradition that has been going also for years.
Serve with salmon en croute, and enjoy.

Ornamental
Sweet little glass baubles, so perfect on my miniature tinsel tree
The ornaments I made for Christina's ornament swap:
sent to Peta
And the gorgeous ones I received:
2012 - Our Ornament tradition continues. The delicate beaded Butterfly is for the Big Girl and the metal Ballet Shoes with bling for the Ballerina, of course!
And I just had to share this pic of my cousin and his adorable baby, Milla! Is she not the cutest?

Happy Father's Day
The mug is this year's Father's Day stall purchase, the cookies made by the ballerina to have with a cuppa in afore mentioned mug!
Mr M also receieved the Shane Crawford book, turkish delight and the Bran Nue Day DVD, as well as his favourite dinner of Chicken schnitzels with pepper sauce.
My Dad is yet to receive his present, but I am sure tradition tells him what it will be! Love you Dad, see you on Tuesday xxx
