I find the summer holidays a little challenging, especially in the first few weeks. Christmas is over, along with all the build-up and festivities.  It's my Big Girl's Birthday today. I can barely believe that she is 17. It doesn't seem that long ago that she was just a little girl with a big attitude! She  is heading off on a driving lesson. Her first in an auto (we have decided to continue learning how to drive a manual a bit later on!)    Apparently it is pretty tricky to change gears and manage your phone - unless you are 2 that is!

 Last weekend we celebrated my Mum's 70th Birthday at The Hotel Grand Chancellor, in Melbourne.We dined on the most delicious food, especially the white rum panacotta with poached pear (OMG). The Ballerina received the results of her Grade 4 Cecchetti Exam this week.  A score of 88.5% exceeded her expectations. The written comments show so much progress over the years, as she has grown in confidence and skill. I have just got myself a new phone. I am rather pleased with it, and am not entirely sure how I put up with my OLD one for quite so long! We have progressed to foods such as pasta, soggy cornflakes, noodles and soft chunky soups. Mr M came home from hospital yesterday. He was glad to farewell the noise, the heat and the uncomfortableness! He is doing well, a bit sore, a lot tired. I used rub-ons, which can not be washed or eaten off (and will not last for ever) - so it is purely for decoration. It only took a few minutes using things I already had. Quick and easy indeed!
